Scenography is a interdisciplinary design networking profession; selecting the narratives, directing a space, creating a magic. No wonder curating, staging, directing are terms that describe what scenographers do by asking questions from functionality to aesthetics. In 1896 Henri Bergson, described a factor of time: „la durée“ (duration). For him duration describes the state how something is experienced individually, whether one is bored or experiences something with tension. This bodily experience describes the experience of atmosphere. The word atmosphere originates from the greek words 'atmos' for haze and 'sphaira' for sphere describing something that envelopes in an invisible manner. Acoustic images for example have this potential, to envelope and to evoke images, create spaces and moods, an atmosphere to communicate and tell stories (ambient music, score). Further spaces can be surroundings that inspire to simulate the future in a playful way. These might be workplaces, which are extremely flexible, respond to the users’ needs and can transform into many different settings. Just as needed. Responsive.
